Goodbye old friendGoodbye-2.jpg

Ryan made a post ( http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=44683 ) with info about a 24 hour delay…

The new wiki is really nice as it goes, good job, had plenty of time to read it too…

Theres some nice tutorials on there. Iv just had a good read of the Rimasson_birth tut, very nice results and all done in ZB3 with PS to boot.

Its would have been nice to render all the sub tools at once but as shown in this tutorial, there are work arounds if your dont have another application for rendering, nice results. Im going to read all of them to get myself acquainted wit the new features.

Man I stayed up late, alas there has been a delay, but at least we get to drool over the new features list! Layers, local subdivision, sub tools,…mmmm.
Slurp.

so, im wondering if we will get zbrush 3 this year… :frowning:

I have a g5 quadcore powerpc with 4 gigs of ram. I know the specs are "recommended but will I have slower or worse performace not having a intel cpu? Or running 10.8 or the new lepord when it comes out?

Mac
Recommended

OS: OSX 10.0 or newer with either BootCamp (using Windows XP or Vista (32-bit) or Parallels (using Windows XP or Vista (32-bit)
CPU: Mac Intel
RAM: 1024MB (2048MB recommended for working with multi-million-polys and when using Parallels)**

Thanks in advance for any responces.

scott

Shure u’ll get it this year. Keep in mind this year starts on 00:00 the 1st of january 2008. Yeah, for the people that loved bullet time, now you have bs time…I mean release time.

Soon

That machine is an intel, is it not?

The mac specs should probably say OSX 10.4+ or somthin… everyone with an intel mac and bootcamp will be 10.4.9 or .8 And yes u need an Intel mac… i think this is a suggestion of the machine to run the WINDOWS verions of Z3 on a mac via bootcamp or parrallels which require an INTEL processor.

I’m assuming the OSX version of Z3 will be a Universal binary to run on PPC G4 or G5 and Intel hardware… dont know though… they have not told us anything on the mac side… so i keep looking for in for on ETA etc.

spaz8 : thanks for the info I hope your right. I got the powerpc quad right before apple annonced the mac pros with intel.

jaystein : No g5 powerpc is imb chips. At least i think ibm makes them

it runs maya8.5 great so I’m hoping for the same with z3.

LOL cool ! just downloaded the puppy !

now 2 questions before installing :

  1. can i have in the same machine ZB 2.0 AND ZB 3.0 with no problems? or is better to get rid of ZB 2.0?
  2. will i be able to reinstall/activate my ZB 3.0 in another machine, when i buy it?

sorry if the answers could be in some FAQ but pls reply me however ! thanx
