You’ve done a great work on the interface however I actually like the current Sculptis interface. It’s minimalism and large floating icons actually makes it quite inviting to play with.
These do not represent the Alpha 6 UI, I haven’t been involved with Sculptris since Feb of 2010.

Hey guys and gals I’ve been out of the loop for about six months. I was wondering if there have been any version upgrades since last September?
Nope, seems dead in the water for the time being. Hey, at least it functions pretty well… just wish there was a way to export it as a regular obj instead of all the triangulations, allot of programs don’t like that, esp if your planning on rigging and animating for DAZ Studio or Poser… Def fun to play with though!
I’d love to do that someday. I heard it’s a hard process, though.
Blender can help you with conversion to quad-gon Obj (and retopology, if needed)
I not 100% positive but I’m pretty sure that Blender can export Sculptris tris as quads. The export dialogue box gives you that option. Then you can import into Daz or Poser.
For a mostly busted app (on Mac via the WINE-ified bundle), in eternal Alpha… i STILL like Sculptris better than ZBrush, which i paid for. No sign of ZBrush or Sculptris ever becoming a sensible unified tool because ZBrush gets all the love (despite being an utter monstrosity of “not designed for its primary use”).
Wow. I downloaded the Sculptris and doodled a bit. The brushes are awesome and well thought out in terms of design especially the “Crease” brush should be a MUST feature in zBrush. I would say thees little set are even better than zBrush. DrPetter please could you incorporate them in zBrush.

Oh i could make a lot of “suggestions” to Pixologic. They won’t hear em. Enough people have already made pretty much the same complaints i would (and have). No point in repeated effort. As for newbie… how can i be anything but? ZBrush is terribly inaccessible when you’ve spent the last 20 years working with tools that are designed to harmonize with the OS’s GUI and those of competing/related tools… When i run into bugs and bizarre behaviors that get in the way of learning ZBrush, that just makes it worse. blah blah blah… No one cares… just keep calling me a troll…

Agreed, that is why I have such high hopes for Sculptris!!! Very easy to learn and pick up.
