A couple of timelapses and a (future) Pixie

Wow you have really improved. Great job.

great character & superb modeling! The stereoscopic setup is fun too

Hey Guti, great work and presentation, i hope you don´t mind i took a few seconds to anaglyph your images, here it is. Use RED for the right eye and BLUE for the left eye.

P.S: reminds me those holograms that came in the Visionaries: Knights of the magical light action figures.

cheers,

Hi Chris,
When I read your words about “pollution” I immediately thought of a song by AC/DC because for my eyes your post ain’t noise pollution but real Rock’n’Roll!
As already I told you my only reserve is to not have physically on my desk the model that you have so beautifully “photographed”.
I hope that we can collaborate soon in a similar way on some other models because the results are wonderfull!
Thank you very much

P.S.
I reeposted bthe resized Images to make simpler a fast check of the pictures… and also to put the little thumb on the top to invite people to leave a comment!

@shhark: Thank you very much
@KillahPriest: Thank you! I hope to continue to improve in the future:)
@Julian_K: I was amazed from this thing of 3D, thanks for your kind words
@renaud bellefon, eof3D, VictorCS, manzarek123 : This 3d Thing is really intriguing! I hope to be able to make some other 3d model soon
@caffeineandpixels: The Wolfman was cool… but you are right, these claws are more suitable for a cat man!
@BIOPUNKCYBERPUNK: Sorry for the late response… but thank-you very much to have spent some time to make the Anaglyph version of the model!

wow love it man!!

Really unique piece!! Congrats to all involved!

Please share some highres if possible…

Cheers!

…top row in no time ! :+1:

and now… my latest creation done for CharactersForum “Sham Universe” contest.

I hope you like how I liked it … because it would mean that you like it so much!

The model is 99% zBrush (only some basic mesh was done outside)

He is a Mercenary of the Sham Universe, he like big guns and his name is
Skore Jhon (in italian “Skore Jhon” sounds a bit like “Big Farter”)… but do
not be led astray because he’s a real hard man!

and now some image (sorry for the big one)

I loved your anaglyph…totally kewl…had to put my glasses on backwards. I put it on my desktop. I have done a few but mine were no where kewl as yours is. thnx

Ron

look like i would have fun rendering it

would be cool … i he could have a big pink tentacle looming in his back …

I’m surprised how clean your meshes are for doing it in Zbrush (other than the stretched polys around his middle). I gather you had to do a lot of retopo work? It’s one of the weaknesses about Zbrush that I’ve had is the lack of clean polys from base forms.

Bravissimo Guti! sei un grande!

That sure looks like ton of work. Wonder how you go about doing the UV(UV Master?) coz thats alot of subtool if I’m not wrong. Also the work undertaken to paint it. Would be nice to see a tutorial.

Great piece of work.

5 stars from me, great model, style and presentation!

love the style here! these are sweet!

As always… you rock!

:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

I really love that akira piece…would make a great 3d print!

@Ron Harris: Thanks! With zBrush is very simple to create Stereoscopic image… You can try with this workflow:
1- Enable Perspective
2- Put your model at the center of the screen and put a marker on it
3- Move the model 2-3cm to the right and export the image
4- Use the marker to retrieve the model on the previous position
5- Move the model 2-3cm to the left and export the image
Now you have the two image to build your anaglyph!

@Xtrm3D: Thanks my fiend! I’m very courious to see this model whell rendered!

@Drakaran: I was a little too optimistic declaring the 99% use of zBrush… for real I use intensively the zBrush retopo function… but for this model only the head, the armour torso and the backpack was 100% zBrush: the other pieces are made out from very simplest geometry (modified box, cilinder). I cannot now… but when I could I would put some sample of the start geometry.
I have to make a big thanks to Jester for his GoSoftimageLite (LINK) that I found very usefull and time-saving

@MmAaXx: Grazie Max!

@GX@W: Thanks man! Yes… a lot of subtools and a lot of work… but with zb4 the subtool management is incredible. In particular I found very usefull the new function “split polygroups” and “Merge visible”/“Merge Down” that permitted me to separate each element to work with.
For the UWmapping I used Roadkill on the basic subtools… after I have merged these subtool on tree different tools (the soldier, the backpack, the weapons) and used the zBrush UWmaster mantaining the originals seams.
I will put some workflow on my process and also of the UWmap process just when I find the time
Here two image on the number of subtools and about the texture mapping.

@AAron: Thanks for the stars and for the appreciation

@Gelfy: Thank You very much

@Fracture: Thanks my friend :slight_smile:

@Sarakawa: Thanks Sarakawa! The 3D print for the Akira piece is on my wish list… I swear I could print it very soon
