A Collection of My Recent Work

I think is one the the best thread I see here in zbrush central! :grimacing:

Great!!!

Great creature design. I haven’t seen many artists pulling a good design; many can sculpt but making that creature unique with a fresh look is something you’ve done really well (especially demonic creatures which are done to death). Congrats!

amazing! i was wondering if you could give us some more insight on your rendering techniques? like exactly what you rendered each pass, for instance did you render the SSS layers separatly as well? and the background is that comped in? did you use global illumination, final gather exc. thanks:+1:

Wow man fantastic character!! I really like your lighting, look a bit surnatural and is wonderful!!

Ciao my friend!

i wanted to ask you how much u paid and how much you realy got out of it

Hi there

Here is a link to an image that demonstrates my render-pass workflow:

The Certificate program costs around $45,000 for 21 months. Id say it was worth it as I learned quite a bit.renderPasses0001_optimized.jpg

wow,nice works!..

Whoa! that’s super surreal.

Late blooming post here> but holly crap that is some sick dementia floating around in your head. Wicked stuff. Sick and twisted, but wicked.

You definitely managed to come down with the sickness on this post! Sick stuff dude!

thanks for the pics of your workflow! but i was wondering, is there a set blending mode you use for these images when compositing them? for example like multiply or overlay? or do you just play around with the blending modes until you come up with one that works? im sure that your occlusion pass is a multiply but what about the others like spec pass and the different lighting passes. what blending mode did you use for them? any insight would be amazing.:+1: thanks

Hi there

For the light passes I use add (or screen). For the cavity and ambOcc passes, I use multiply. The spec and reflection passes are either add or screen.

The flat color pass can be used either as screen, add, or multiply.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I do not use global illumination or final gather. One can achieve a very similar look with the right amount of passes and color correction.

really nice lighting texturing creature design! 3rd one is my favorite!

Thanks for showing your lighting passes! It’s good to see how others approach it as well. Very professional looking!

wow thats a lot of money
