@gordon02380
i guess you’re not the only one, it has to do with the vertex order. As someone said (cannot remember now, but credits go to him), in max 2009 you have to import/export twice to avoid that error. That is, import, reUV, export, import again, export again… that worked for me. And if I were you, I would do as few as possible modifications on your mesh or stack in max (of course no new polys whatsoever…). Hope that helps!
Unfortunately that hasn’t worked for me Thanks for the advice though.
I hope someone comes out with something like this for 3.5R3…my results from using this tutorial came very close (looked like…the texture was rotated slightly between zbrush export and 3ds max import…???)… but close isn’t cutting it unfortunately.
thank you very much, i just tried to make an obj into 3dsmax and i had difficulties worked on it, especially getting color and material info from zbrush to 3dsmax. i will surely learn from your guide line.GBU.

Exactly what I was looking for ! I gave up with Zbrush because of all those steps between 3dsmax and Zbrush which where a nightmare.
I’ve decided to dive in in this app again and I found this thread.
