Hair question?

Hi,

I was thinking of using / trying curve-tube brush to create my hair. How do I get the ends of the tube to sharpen or taper to look like strands of hair. Should I say more like look like the ends of long hair. Attached is an image of what I would like to accomplish.

Thanks

Someone made a single hair brush. Check out size http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/stroke/curve-modifiers/
There’s http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/tool/polymesh/fibermesh/ as well.

You can use Curvetube for example … Under stroke /curve modifiers ,activate the Size switch and play with the falloff ( Flip the curve if you want to go from thick to thin )

This is frustrating sometimes! I tried the Curvetube but it doesn’t appear at all. I clicked on it, dragged it and everything.

Isn’t there a simple hair brush available out there?

Someplace in here is a single hair IMM brush>;)> http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?170167-Insert-Multi-Mesh-Repository

I finally managed to work out what I was doing wrong / missing. I did not activate the size in the curve modifiers.

Thank you all for your help.

I do have another question! I am going to end up with a ton of sub-tools when my character is complete. I wish there was a way to organize them better? Similar to Adobe Photoshop. I like how Photoshop let’s you make folders. Does ZBrush let you make folders? What I find annoying, is when I am done with my character’s hair there will be a sub-tool for each tube I make. Kind of redundant?

Any suggestion are always welcome! Thanks for giving a newbie patience!

You can merge the strand clumps down to make things more manageable.
