Derofmation > Mirror twists my model

Hello. I have shoe and want to mirror it for another leg. I used deformation -> mirror (x), and got twisted model.
Also tried:

  1. ZPlugin -> SubTool Master -> Mirror
  2. Modify Topology -> Mirror and Wield (x),
    got the same twisted result.

problem
Then I took free shoe model on the internet and managed to make a proper mirroring, so looks like the problem is in MY model.
Maybe I was sculpting it out of World center or something like that.
I set Geometry -> Position to x (0) y (0) and z (0) but it didn’t help
proper

Site offered to look into this topic for solution ( I want to mirror a subtool without loosing layers and subdivision levels ) , so I tried to export whole shoe or parts of it to an OBJ file and import it back to mirror it again, but got the same twist.
Didn’t work after ZRemesher of Dynamesh as well.
Please help fix…

Looks normal to me. I don’t see any twist. :upside_down_face:

Ok, maybe i’m delusional. I saw some 3d gurus making 2 shoes at once, actively doing 1, and program redoing it symmetrically realtime. Looks like I need to redo my model.

If you make an array mesh of one shoe then edits on the shoe will automatically appear on the other shoe(s) in the array. Maybe that’s what you saw when two shoes were being made at once. Cheers.

Hi, will look into this too. Already found that people just use Mirror and weld, then Symmetry (x) put on, worked for me.
