It works fine for me in Zbrush 2018 . There is no real need to install anything, just load the ZSC file.
hi, i like the plugin, but everytime i triet to create a new banch, trunk or whatever, all the spheres stay in the same 0, 0 position, i dont know how to solve this or if this is another type of ug
Hello, there is a problem with ZB 2019. The Sine And Cosine functions donât work. This is a ZB bug and itâs been reported. The plugin works in ZB2018. I have already made a temporary fix for this but it makes the plugin works really slow so itâs just better to have ZB 2018 installed and work with that version. My fix will make it work in 2019 but it will be slower and less accurate than just using a 2018 version of Zbrush.
What I decided to do is to substitute the All Zscript version of ZTree for one based on C++.
Also, just a note to myself in the future: Donât spend too much time in ZBC. This same question and others related with the bug had been posted in this thread before. I took the time to make several posts answering them only to find that they are lost ( questions and answers ) in the transition to the new ZBcentral.
It works fine for me in 2018 on a Mac but it doesnât work for me in 2019. It nearly works. It shows up in the plugins and creates a zSphere when you hit start but when you run a script, all the branches grow within the ZSphere.
The SIN and COS functions are broken in ZBrush 2019 so pretty much nothing in ZTree will work in ZBrush 2019.
I will wait to see if they fix it in the next patch, if they donât I will make a Dll to fix it.
You can still use Ztree in ZB 2018
I made a FIX that works but now the plugin is not 100% ZScript, which means it will work on windows but not in Mac until I make the Mac version⊠GumRoad Download
Hi,
Assume I have a tree with a trunk and two branches (e.g. left branch and right branch). I want to be able to grow branches only from the right branch. How do I do this?
I have tried the following:
- Select the first (or second) ZSphere of the right branch
- Select Start Branches Here
- Select Grow Branches
This will cause branches to be grown all over the tree, not just the right branch. I have tried to reset branch count, as well as the fix 2019 button. Nothing helps.
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, I am using ZBrush 2019 with the ZTree 2019 plugin on Windows 10.
Hi, I am afraid itâs not possible to do this in ZTree yet. Start from here only takes into account the order in which the branches were created, the ZSphere index, not where they actually are located. It would be pretty easy to add a function that would only add branches over the selected ZSphere childs. I didnât think of this before but itâs a very good idea. I think will add this to the next release when I have the time. what you can do is adding a couple of branches manually and then use to start from here. The new added branches will be the last ones with the most recent Zsphere Index so it might work. But this is just a workaround âŠ
Thank you. Your plugin is awesome. I look forward to the addition.
Hi, I added this Plug-in but its not working
one ztree sphere appears and I push start , and dialogue box appears which shows Done.
Is there any advice to fix this?
Yes, This is happening because there is a BUG in ZBrush 2019 that affects the SIN and COS functions, I made a fix for this but you arenât using the last version . You can use the version you already have in ZB2018 if you still have installed in your machine. Do that Or just send me Private Message.
Thank you for reply!I sent my message.
will there be an update to use this in zb2020? it only gives me a sphere when I hit the start button in the tree plugin menuâŠ
thanks for creating this! I hope I can use it!
If you are in windows I already made a fix for 2019 that works in 2020
Hey there!
Trying to download this by using âthe latest version downloadâ link, but the link seems to not work, also all other versions I managed to find does not work niether, I only get a zphere in the middle, with other spheres inside of it, zfighting eachother.
Do you know how I fix this, or is there a working version downloadable somewhere? I am a student trying to make my own trees quickly in zbrush for my scene, found this and thought âWOW!â, but then it did not work
I am using zbrush 2019

Yeah, Iâm seeing the same thing. Download latest version gives you a âpage not foundâ error.
The link to the tutorials and additional info link is also now broken.
When I try to download the latest version it says the page does not exist or is private.
Where can I find the leaf brush data for Ztree?
I want a fiber brush for the leaves.
