ZTool inside out when drawing onto canvas with imported image

Anyone seen it? Imported a photo for backdrop/reference. Building a scene around it. Been working fine until today. When drawing ztool onto canvas with the imported image, it’s inside out. Then in edit mode it pans opposite of the mouse.

When I draw the tool onto a blank canvas, it’s fine.

Noteworthy that I had a crash earlier today. (my fault) Now working with a recovered ztool.

Just going to texture a plane with the photo instead. That will actually work better at this stage. Will revisit and submit support ticket when possible. Got to get this product shipped for now

Usually manually set the document dimensions, then import through the document menu. Just imported image as a texture, selected flat material with mrgb, and hit ‘crop and fill’. Ztool is now drawing onto the canvas correctly. Not sure what that means, other than manually setting the dimensions is old school. Will still submit a ticket later if time permits.

I’m having the same proble (I posted on here just a few hours before the OP of this thread. I recoreded a video of the behaviour.

If anyone has a solution to this, please share

Zenith.

Ahh there was no problem before because I wasn’t using perspective. That is the culprit!

@ Zenisu - Just import your image into the texture palette, select your material/color with mrgb, and hit ‘crop and fill’. You will no longer have this issue, it is specific to importing through the document menu.
