I’m not sure if this is possible but thought I’d see if anyone knew anything about this:
I keep needing to change how long my animation is in the timeline settings so I go to add on more time. I normally need to do this after I have been working on getting good timing for camera movements as well as layer tracks. What happens after I modify the track length is that my entire animation is then scaled to fill 100% of the new time making everything I had worked on already scale up in length making it play slower than I want. This also means I have to go and modify all of the keyframes layer by layer to get them back to the original speed / length.
Is it possible to change the amount of time in total, and just leave blank space after the existing keyframes rather than scaling all of them?
In future I will likely just leave a much larger amount of time than I need right at the beginning so I don’t run into this issue, but since I’ve got a tight deadline I need to work with what I have for the moment.
On a side note, my original question is workable but:
I go to the link panel and try unlinking the subtool from the camera, but it stays stuck, I can’t seem to link any of the other options either. The pane just seems frozen on default settings. I have been able to animate the visibility, but since it is linked to the camera track it makes modifying timing on my animation much more difficult than it needs to be.
Are there any weird work arounds you have to do to unlock the link panel?
Thanks for any advice
