Looks amazing, love the exaggerated scale of the mechanical elements. Not sure about him wearing a cup though!
Maybe if u wish to hide its gender (which is a good idea IMO, signifies loneliness, isolation, posslibly mailce) you might consider exposing mechanical elements under and through the flesh of the hip and groin area. I feel your current solution might leave your character a little unbalanced as a design.
just a thought. cant wait to see how this one works out!
