ZSymmetry Chaos

Dear Zbrush Artists,

Whenever I use Zbrush & wish to use symmetry (e.g. when using zspheres) I’m getting a misalignment of the symmetry points on my model. I’ve checked whether this is because I’m using a wrong plane to cause symmetry in & its not.

I’ve tried Unify, Smartresym, resym, closing zbrush & reimporting the file, pressing local symmetry, centre pivot & set pivot, but the issue is not being resolved.

It’s as if the symmetry mouse cursor points are mis aligned from the objects centre, & hence are not causing actually identical symmtry to occur.

plz help.
Many Thanks,
Squiggles

Hey there,

hard to tell without seeing an image, but what might help is dropping the draw size to 1 and the Z intensity to 100 before you start using ZSpheres

Hope that helps.

Try pose able symmetry. It might work? For me its busted:(

T.hanks for your responses guys

T.hanks for your responses. I’ve searched around the forums & I found a neat idea on the board. The idea that was discussed was to enable y & z symmetry if you wanted to draw out the in the x axis & vice versa. Although my model is truelying useless regarding symmetry, now it should be less prone in the future to symmetry issues. Cheers guys.
