ZSpheres - How to Separate Body and Legs

Hi, I have a ZSphere creature with legs but now I want to select all 8 legs and make them a separate subtool so the legs and body are separate subtools. Is this possible and please tell me how to do this?

Also, is there a trick to moving both legs and body together once they are a unified skin (a key) or will moving the body move the legs too? Thanks.

duplicate your mesh.

delete the legs on one
the body on the other

not sure what you’re asking about moving the body…I am guessing masking is what you’re looking for.
