ZSpheres Adaptive Skin Problem

I am trying to make a base mesh for a human character starting out with zspheres. I get everything pretty much exactly where I want it but when I preview my mesh the head does not look right at all. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong because I’m following the digital sculpting human anatomy book and in the book it looks way different. Here’s what it looks like.

anybody know whats going on?

i think i know what you did wrong.

you draw one sphere for the neck. that sphere is inside the head and its smaller than the head. then you made a sphere for the head and magnifyed it ontop on the “neck sphere”
don’t have spheres on top or inside of other sphere’s. you just need to rethink how you do it. Less Sphere’s.

You dont need for the ears or eye’s. that part you add later.

Good luck

Indented ZSpheres are a ZSpheres I feature. That means you need to turn on Tool>Adaptive Skin>Use Classic Skinning.

ok well thanks to the both of you. I tried taking out the sphere from his neck and it worked a lot better! and also, i left it there and fiddled with some of the classic skinning values and got it to a good spot.

thanks a lot:)
