ZSpheres 3.5R2 Shift-Click

When editing ZSpheres under 3.1 a shift-click got you an added ZSphere
of the same size.

Under 3.5R2 I either seem to get nothing at all, or I get a ZSphere added
at some random location in the model !?

Is this intended? Is there some setup switch to get me the old method?

Edit: Spotted something else. As I rotate the ZS model, it sometimes
vanishes from the screen entirely!

Agreed. Zspheres act a bit different then before. They still fly away in some cases and the Shift-Click to add Zspheres was something that I used very often.

It seems like I add a tiny Zsphere to the existing or it is showing the center point of the Zsphere that I Shift-Click on. Not sure what is going on.

Okay, after posting I did a little experiment with Zspheres and discovered that the Shift-Click to add feature is still there, except that you have to have to push Shift as you are adding the Zsphere to the chain and it will come out the same size and alignment as the one before it.

So, before your could hold the shift key down and click to add. Now you add first and while you are holding down your pen or Left mouse button push the shift key to get the same result.

The Frame key does take away from the frustration of Fly-Away Zspheres, so that is a plus.

Thanks remcv8. I’ll try it again tonight.

Yep. Post-shift as opposed to pre-shift seems to do the job.

Weird stuff happens otherwise…
