zsphere top pole draws in on the z axis? (answered)

stupid noob question I know, but I can’t find where you can change the pole orientation of spheres!
when I draw in a sphere it’s pole draws in along the z axis I don’t want this
I want it to draw in on the y, I can just rotate and snap the sphere so its on the y axis
But If I bring the floor plane it stays parallel with the sphere on the z axis.
Is there way to step it up so that it draws on the Y
any of the tutorials I see the poles always draw in on the y
maybe this does matter but I’ve heard it’s best to have the pole on the top of the model so it’s out of the way

It’s hard to see, especially if the button is highlighted, but you have an xyz on the top of the floor button. You can click on z to switch the floor to the z axis. Also you can display the floor for 2 or for all 3 axis if you want. Another alternative (presuming your using ZBrush 4) is to use the Default Sphere in the Project list in Lightbox. It doesn’t have any poles to worry about and is probably the better one to use if your starting with a sphere.

You can also change the orientation of any model through the Tool>Preview menu. Simply drag in the preview window, hold SHIFT to snap to 90 degrees. Press Store to keep the change. You could then save a version of the model to load any time you want it.

Thanks guys!
that answered my questions!
