Zsphere Rigging / Transpose Master - Crazyness - Bug

I am doing a simple Transpose>TposeMesh then selecting a Zsphere from the tool palette. I then go under “Rigging” and select my newly made TposeMesh character and make a simple rig to deform the character.

I have done this method before and even tested it on another premade character from lightbox “SuperAverageMan” & “Nickz_humanMale” with no problems…

Anyone else experienced this?

your mesh is too dense for Zsphere rigging.

use Zremesher and subD levels to lower your polycount and try again.

Did a quick test and it worked. Thanks very much!

Actually now that I think about it… That means I need to duplicate all subtools, Zremesh them to a low poly state, then subdivide them back up and re-project the details from the dynamesh sculpt, then set them to “All Low” and run Transpose Master and rig them?

Not necessarily. It depends on if those subtools have a high number of polys at the lowest resolution. You also don’t need to use ZSphere Rigging with Transpose Master - using masking and the Transpose Line works better for high resolution combined meshes. So it depends a bit on what your aims are and how much time you want to spend. Whatever you decide you’ll be able to adapt your workflow for future projects.

Thanks Marcus, I’ve worked with masking/transpose tool as well and like you said it’s does work. I thought the zsphere rig might work just as well but looks like a bit of prep work is needed.
