Zsphere Rigging Problem

Hi there,

I have come along this problem everytime I try to pose something with Zspheres: I am building a Zsphere rig for my model but if I try to move it, in this case I want the squirrel to stand up, the model starts to rotate on one end. I have attached an example with a simple rig. I tried adding more Zspheres and paid attention to the rig being straight within the body, still the problem remains. Am I missing something? How can I avoid unwanted movements?

Thanks,
Lorett

Try rotate instead of move.

Thanks Doug. The problem remains when I try to rotate it as far as on the previous picture but it definately solves it with shorter movements. I can work with that.

Small draw size is helpful and recommended. Sometimes move will do what rotate would do depending on where you drag(connecter link vs. sphere itself). Any part of the armature sticking out will show up in a render too, so you’ll have to do some scaling down.

You might also want to make sure you keep x symmetry on when you move/rotate.

Love the squirel

Thanks guys, I am implementing all of your advice now

I just ran into another problem. If I copy/paste my rig in transpose master it messes up the rig in certain parts of the object. I know I can manually move the Zspheres back into position, but that’s not very time efficient. How can I avoid that?

Thanks
