Zsphere rig deformation

Hi guys
I would like to pose my model and have been trying to do so with the zsphere rig method. Some parts of the rig works and some doesn’t… and I’m not too sure about the reason.

The simple rig structure on the arm seems to deform the mesh a lot whenever I try to bend the arms… the mesh wrinkles / compresses (screenshot). Is there any way to retain the mesh shape better with this method?

Also from experimenting, the rig seems to work better if the zspheres rig is thin within the mesh?

your mesh is too dense for Zspheres to deform it properly. You need to either use Zremesher or do a manual retopo to lower your polycount.

try adding some more zspheres along the length of the existing rig on the forearm and upper arm, this may help distribute the weights
