Watch the ZSphere tutorial that’s built into ZBrush. It can be accessed by clicking the Help button in the title bar.

I watched the tutorial, which works fine. But when I try to build a simple head (symmetry seems to be the culprit), the adaptive mesh gets squared and funky. Any ideas? Thanks…

It’s the IRes setting that you need to adjust.

ZSpheres skin by default as six sided cubes. When more than one child connects to the same face of the cube, problems occur. By adjusting the IRes setting, you change the resolution of the ZSpheres, which in turn allows more to connect to the same general area.

Hello…

As Aurick pointed out, you need to adjust your IRES setting. Try going to TOOL>Adaptive skin>IRES. The default is 6, try setting to 1, then take another look at your preview.

Hope this helps

Thanks so much. Rather obvious to most of you, I’m sure.

Works great again… whew.

Thanks again.
