ZSketch to Polymesh - Geometry does not follow ZSketch

This is an issue I’ve run into multiple times, I don’t know how to fix it so I hope someone has an answer. In brief, here’s my workflow:

1- Make a ZSphere skeleton
2- Edit the ZSketch to be how I want it
3- Preview the Mesh
4- Make it an Adaptive Skin
5- Make it a PolyMesh3D object
6- Sculpt

So, usually that works beautifully. However, sometimes I have this issue (This is a sketch my roommate did, I’m troubleshooting the issue because I’m more tech inclined) :

This is what the ZSketch looks like:

As you can see, the mesh in preview mode doesn’t support any of the ZSketch that was placed on the mesh. I can’t figure this out. Usually, I just say screw it and start again, but I would really like to know how to make it not do this in the future. I looked through the settings, everything appears to be default, I don’t think I clicked anything, but something probably changed that I’m not seeing.

Solution?

With Z sketch you aren’t making an adaptive skin, you are making a UNIFIED skin. So go into the unified subpalette and play with the resolution and smoothness and press “make unified skin” to get your desired results.
