Zsketch brushes have changed in 4R6?

I am working on an exercise from Eric Keller’s book and it calls for using Zsketch brushes called zsketch 1 and zsketch 2 and zsketch 3. I only see zsketch A.

So forgive me for having asked so many questions about where the new or equivalent tools and brushes are in this latest version.

Is there a link that will show me how to get the results of these older brushes?

I like this book but maybe I should forget it and find a newer book or set of instructions to learn this latest version of ZBrush.

Thanks for any advice on this.

If you open Lightbox > Brushes > ZSketch, you’ll find additional brushes there.

The differences between these brushes are essentially just different values and combinations of various brush/stroke/alpha/etc modifiers that can be accessed in those menus. Switching to sketch2 for example, is basically just a matter of raising the zintensity and brush: depth: imbed

Thanks Cryrid I will look closer at those brushes. I saw them as the book referred to them but I did not see any listed by the names I mentioned. I should have kept my earlier versions of zBrush.

They are not called zsketch 1,2,3. They are called Sketch 1,2,3 and they are all there. As far as I know, they have always been called that. If they were referred to as zsketch 1,2,3, in the book, then maybe it was a misprint, but I can’t say for sure. I have never read the book. As Cryrid mentioned, the only difference between those 3 brushes is the “Brush > Depth > Imbed” slider value.
