Zremesher keeps bringing up the previous model I was working on

I am using zremesher on a model I made today but it keeps bringing up the model I worked on the day previously when performing a zremesher. Is there some kind of history I have to delete so zremesher stops bringing up the model from a different project? For example I have a model of a loaf of bread and the donut model I made keeps coming up when running zremesher.

I am using zbrush version 2021.6.2

So here is the model I am wanting to zremesh.

When I hit the zremesher button I get the previous model I worked on which is a donut.

Just to be sure I tried it with a Polysphere as well.

results after pushing zremesher is there some kind of cache I need to clear out?

I searched for this issue but could not seem to find it.

Resolved this issue by reinstalling the software. I was trying to avoid a reinstall but it worked. If anyone knows a fix without having to reinstalling please chime in.

Hi @MapesArt,
glad you get the issue fixed on your own, the cache data for zremesher is located in
c:/user/public/documents/ZBrushData2021/temp/ directory.
But I would not delete anything here, just check if when you use zremesher, if the two goz files are different in size OBJIn.goz and OBJOut.goz.

Anyway you should report the issue on Support Center, so the dev team know about such of issue.

Hope it helps!
Nicolas

Thank you for your reply. If it happens again I will check to see if the file sizes are the same. Then contact support.

Hi @MapesArt

There were several possibilities here

  1. A faulty install.

  2. A damaged installation due to improper user modification.

  3. An issue in your OS environment preventing ZBrush from functioning properly

  4. A newly discovered bug. I’m not aware of any issues involving ZRemesher.

Since a reinstall fixed your issue, #1 and #2 seem likely. But in all cases, the community Usage Questions forums are unlikely to be able to assist you with technical issues like this. Those sort of issues should be directed to Pixologic Support.

Thank you!

Thanks I will contact support in the future if it occurs again or for issues that I cannot find through searching the web or here. Just thought I would exhaust self research as much as possible before contacting them. I have not been able to reproduce this or force it to happen again so far.
