zproject tool wont work?

hello
im using zbrush 3 on a mac

im having a problem

im really interested in following this tutorial for this technique, although i am getting stuck because my zproject tool wont paint on anythibg

this is the tutorial…i had following every step EXACT over and over trying to see what i did wrong. i literally spent over 2 hours doing the first 5 steps to once again get stuff with the zproject tool.

when i go to paint it on nothing happens, what could be the problem?

im pretty sure zbrush 3 for mac only accepts .psd files for textures and not things like .jpeg etc…

i tried using a .psd file and couldnt get it to work.

has anyone figured out how to do this tutorial on a mac zbrush??? please let me know!

Are you running 3.12 or 3.12B? If you’re still with 3.12 you should update. You can get the update from the Download Center. See my signature. Among other things, 3.12B does allow import of other formats than just PSD.
