Zproject Concept Car Tutorial

Greetings,

I very much appreciate the work done on the concept car tutorial in the beginner’s section. The results of the tutorial are exceptional. I just can’t duplicate the steps with success. Here is my issue:

  1. First I created a QuickSketch of a circle for a flying saucer.

  2. After, I appended a Zshpere I selected the new layer and resized th ZPhere using the E accelerator command.

  3. Thereafter I returned to the QuickSketch layer to change the the pen
    tool to Pen Sketch 2.

  4. I returned to the Zsphere layer, I enter Shift A I build up my saucer model.

  5. I then do Unify Skin with 2 subdivisions.

  6. Upon returning to the sketch layer I select ZProject, and the sketch now under my model should show as I pass my brush over the model. This is how it seems to work in the concept car tutorial. However, I can not see any sketch appearing on my model as I pass over it with my brush.

What have I missed in my process? Any assistance
will be appreciated. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Ken Welsby :confused

turn on RGB in the Zproject Brush

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, after disabling the global settings in the Brush/Tablet selection to make the rgb available. Zproject did not work. As well, the RGB in the top of the document screen is on.

My understanding of the Concept Car Tutorial is the following as I click on the Quick Sketch Button in Zbrush 4.0.

  1. Make a Quick Sketch of model.
  2. Append a ZSphere subtool and rough out model over the fresh sketch.
  3. Unify Skin of Model.
  4. Return to Quick Sketch and Zproject sketch previously drawn on to model.

I CAN NOT SEE THE SKETCH PROJECT ON TO THE MODEL…

So what is missing when

A) my parent is the Quick Sketch,
B) subtool is the model,
C) I am attempting to ZProject the Quick Sketched image I made
on to my subtool model?

Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
