Zmapper vs Max Render to texture

Hey everyone,
Up until this point I’ve been using Max to bake my AOs and normals. I was wondering if Zmapper produces the same results and which one is “better”?

Zmapper is quicker so I’m wondering if it lacks the details of max.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, use ZBrush 3.5 to create your AO map. This is done through the Tool>Masking menu and has a few settings to help you get the best AO possible. Once you are satisfied with the mask, use Tool>Masking>Make Alpha to convert it to an alpha using the model’s UV’s. From there you can export it for use in a renderer.
