ZMapper Error Crash

Hello everyone, I have a problem with ZMapper; every time I click on it, crashes. I have ZBrush 3.0, ZMapper is downloaded. My configuration is Intel Core2 Quad Q6600, 2.40 Ghz, 8 Gb of RAM and 64 bit. Vista. I tried checking UV’s but nothing helps…Any help apprecited (Sorry for my bad English)

ZMapper is only compatible with ZBrush 3.1. It’s also included with version 3.1. You don’t need to download it.

The 3.0 to 3.1 updater is available here: http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/upgrade/ Click the link in the third line to download the updater.

Thanks, you are a life saver

hi, iv’e got Zbrush 3.1 , whenever i click on my Zmapper button,it gives me a message “No GL_EXT_TEXTURE_ENV_DOT3 SUPPORT” along with an OK button; after i OK it, it gives another msg window with title “display” and message “GL_INVALID_ENUM” , got any remedy for that,

Either your graphics card or the drivers that are installed for that card does not support OpenGL. You’ll need to get the newest drivers from the card manufacturer’s website, or if that doesn’t work you’ll need to get a new card that does support OpenGL.

i have no graphic installed…just normal stuff…

Then that explains the problem. Your system’s onboard GPU doesn’t support OpenGL, so ZMapper can’t run.

You’ll need to pick up a graphics card to install. I recommend any GeForce card, since they all support OpenGL. Just check first to see whether your computer’s motherboard has a PCI-express slot or not so that you can make sure the card you get fits your system. If such a slot isn’t available, you’ll need to get a PCI card instead.

The cheapest PCI-express cards curently run about $70, and last I checked some even had a $30 rebate. Of course, if you want to do a lot of gaming you’ll probably want to go higher end than that. Be careful, though, because most of the high end cards these days (which are all PCI-express) also require a special 6-pin connector from the power supply. Some have plug adapters in case your system doesn’t have such a connector. But not all do!

princeomar:
try SciTech GLDirect .
worked for me.

how can i make sure that my on board GPU does/not support OpenGL.

You’ll probably need to contact support for the motherboard’s manufacturer.
