Zmapper and project multiple subtools unto one mesh

What happened to zmapper? The default normal map creates a normal blue color backdrop, which is kind of a pain to remove in photoshop.

Also is there a way of creating a normal map from combining several sub tools into one piece? The largest piece is uv mapped, and I want to bake the additional pieces which are bands, unto the largere piece. This can be done in 3d max and blender, since they project normals with rays I believe.

This technique allows you to create holes by using inverted normals meshes as well, which trick the rays into thinking that the high resolution mesh has holes when it in fact does not. If this can not be done in zbrush, does decimation master work with 3.5?
