Harley is angry. :o
About 3 and a half hours… reused some eyes, teeth, and bells I had made. Had to spend some time wrestling with local subdivision. Expression was tough too.
B E L L I S S I M I ! ! !
I’m definitely a your FAN!
Thanks, piz!
Started a happy Mr. J… Just a little over an hour so far… might spend more time on him.
Fantastic stuff
Very good creative characters. Wonderful to have you here.
Drakelot, Jason, piz: Thanks!
Spent about another hour and a half on Mister J…
His happy side. Too often see his evil side. Probably worse to see his happy side.
The Cat…
About 4 hours. Got a bit too fussy… learned a lot though.
Great sculpts! I like how you showed the lowpoly too in some. My question would be, what shape do you start with usually on a head sculpt? I remember there was actually a couple of threads way back that included the tlillehoff sphere. I guess I was also wondering if you used any of those methods, or something you came up with yourself. Of course, with HD geometry possibilities and topology tools, that’s probably not even so important anymore is it?
Wow! What a lovely Cat Girl…
I love your style, very nice catwoman Grrrr… LOL small_orange_diamond

Lumin8: Thank you! Right now I’m trying not to obsess about topology. All but Harley are sculpted from a Polysphere. With Harley I just made a quick base with Zspheres and locally subdivided the face area, nothing special.
piz: Thanks again!
Lil-sister: Thanks! Your stuff rocks.
Spent a long time experimenting with hard edge techniques. Not sure if it was really worth attempting. Need to practice and experiment more…
Polysphere again… 3 and 1/2 hours playing around.
Very Good Transformer! How you did it? Had you exported in Maya or Max for edge retouch? Or you built it in Z?
Anyway
Really nice models and unique style! I have no Idea how you got those hard edges on Optimus Prime! From a sphere!? Amazing.

Clayface. Took longer than I thought (about 3 hrs)… had to work asymmetrically a lot and he looks too blobby without definition.
Thanks, piz! Thanks, rynomyte!
The partial Optimus head was all in ZBrush from a Polysphere. I found that using Accucurve and cranking up the brushmod slider for the standard brush helped define edges (so it pinches while you sculpt). Still had to tweak a ton though. I figured out some nice tricks the other day which would have helped. I’ll post about them next time I try a hard edge model.
Excellent, this was such a great character and you did a great job.
Very cool Character Marsyas!
You are a Master of ZComics Book!
the clayface is really cool!
