Ziggy's Show Case

I love your work Ziggy,do you model for $$ ?

Thanks Alfedo… a bit here and there, I am still getting to grips with all the ins and outs of ZBrush, once one jumps onto the $$$ bandwagon, one tends to get stuck in a style and not experiment anymore, will probably start with ZB4 when it one day arrives, as a lot of the technical side will hopefully be automated…

Here is one of my most recent WIP’s a book cover ZBrush, Modo and Photoshop…

I personally know the author and have a strong background in this old war… what we don’t have to go through as young people…?

Ziggy

I have removed the cover as the book is only due next year…

that book cover looks very good, I feel like buying one these books, I love war stories and know nothing about your war:+1:

A long war, there are many books coming out now, it was our Vietnam and kept very hash hash, specially in the early stages as we were involved in cross border clandestine operations, it later scaled to a full on conventional war with most of the Communistic countries in support of the enemy, Cuba being the biggest, but we left them all with a bloody nose only to be defeated by politics and pressure from the rest of the world… but look at Africa now… who has actually won…

The author has a book out already, this is his second… his unit was made up of refugees from Angola (32 BN) and ours was made up of Bushmen also refugees from Angola (31 BN)

Look at www.omega-vets.com and you’ll see more, I am adding links to other units sites as I move on…

Thanks Alfedo and Lemonnado…

Nobody but evil wins a war. And only the dead have seen the end of war.
Once Africa was brought off balance, it sways back and forth in chaos.
it will only end when outer influence retracts. Which will be… never…
Hail the quick buck and the lack of conscience associated with it.

Someone should make a training video on jewelry… I hope I’ve succeeded in my first try, work now off to a company in Cape Town for the final product…

ZBrush model rendered in Modo…

Thanks to all the guys on this forum, your tips and comments made it easier, but still a steep learning curve, as UV’s don’t work here, must be raw hard mesh, lastly thanks to pixologic for Decimation Master and 3D exporter… lets see if they work…

And can you believe it, in the past week I’ve bumped into 3D designers from South Africa that don’t know about ZBrush… lets see if I can convert them, seeing as ZBrush is a religion…

Will place image of final hard copy soon…

When your forced to use a tool or plug in… practice gets the better of you…

I did 11 poses from the same base mesh for the jewelry… here are the results

Thanks to Transpose Master…

Planning is important, I lacked time with this one, the jewelry company’s deadline is the 11th July… they’re happy and so to the client… I am not, but have learnt a lot…

Looks good to me !!

I noticed the Modo render in “D” is an extreme closeup of the emblem on his chest… can we see that full Modo render, it is different from the one marked “E” which shows no emblems on their chests.

And the sculpt is awesome, btw. :+1: :+1:

Dunno… but I think it’s great. You should be a happy Ziggy!
Lemo

I find these amazing, well done, very. :+1:

A year back I found myself in the same position… ZBrush announced a upgrade which never came, I ended up avoiding the program in anticipation of what was to come… it never did, i wasted precious ZBrush time and focused on Modo… well here I am again…

Modo WIP… would love to bring it to ZBrush4…

[Render-01.jpg]
A Lot to come… pure Modo with slight tweak in PS… but always faithful to ZB…

Hey Ziggy,

Love your sculpts of the springbok.

Tell me, which company in CT will do the final product? I’ve been looking for someone in SA to print a ZB sculpt or two for me. 3d printing companies seem to be few and far between in South Africa.

Regards,

Yvan.

Yvan,

The company is a jewelry place, but there is s a chap in CT - Joe du Buy 082 926 1329 or his web: www.liquid-edge.com haven’t used him yet, but will soon…

Thanks as to sculpts, they sent me the animated image and asked for 11 poses… was a first for me, long hours, but this is how we learn…

Regards Ziggy
