ZBrushCore - How to disable the Angle Snapping (green line) of the Lazy Mouse?

Hi All!

Is there a way to disable the Angle Snapping (green line) of the Lazy Mouse Tool in ZBrushCore?
It keeps snapping on 0 and 45 degree angles, and it makes me unable to use the tool right now.
I tried to adjust the settings of the Lazy Mouse Tool, but no luck…

Thank you in advance,
Danny

That should only appear if you hold the Shift key.

Hi marcus_civis,

Sadly, this is not the case with me. I just tested this out:
Opened ZBrushCore -> Changed the LazyRadius to a higher value (60) -> Painted with a default brush.
The green 0/45 degree green lines keep on popping in while painting. I dont hold the shift key, I am just painting with everything on default.

Below is an image of what I see:

Hope this helps in building a solution, or figuring out a workaround,
Thanks!
Danny

OK, I can reproduce that. I think it’s intended behaviour. The point is that if you extend the Lazy Radius you are after a more precise stroke, so it makes sense to display the angle and provide snapping.

That is quite a bummer… I had one of my colleagues try this same method out in ZBrush (full),
and it was not the case in there. There you can extend the value, and you still maintain a smooth
curve without the angle snapping to show up. This way right now prevents me to have a nice smooth
result, because I get straight lines all the time in my mesh -_-…

Any possible solution for this?
Danny

I will pass on your concerns to the developers. Instead of turning up the LazyRadius try setting the LazySmooth to a higher value.

Ah, that seems to be working a bit better indeed. Hope an updated version of Core will have
a way to increase the radius withouh angle snap :).

Thank you for your advice Marcus!
Greetings,
Danny
