Zbrushcore 2018.1 mesh export problems

Hi
So I managed to complete my sculpt in Zbrushcore 2018.1 and polypainted it.
Now I want to export it to other softwares(Blender 2.79) so I can do some test renders but I am facing several issues.

  1. Exporting mesh as .obj file does not export the vertex paint information.
In the last version of ZbrushCore I could export a polypainted mesh as .obj file and the vertex colors were exported along with it. In ZbrushCore 2018.1 tried exporting my mesh as .obj file, both from the 3D Print Hub plugin and the Export option in the tool pallet but the polypaint was not exported in either of the cases (mesh export was fine). When exporting through the tool pallet Export option, ZbrushCore does display that it is writing polypainted obj in the info bar, but the polypaint information does not get exported.

  2. I then tried exporting as STL (binary not ascii) but again the vertex paint information was not exported.

  3. Finally I tried exporting as Web3D standard from the tools pallet Export option, but this time neither the mesh nor the polypaint information was exported.

Due to limitations, I am unable to use .maya and .VRML export options.

Why are there so many isuues with this version of ZbrushCore?? Can we have atleast the basic features from the previous version working properly?

Thanks

I just tested this (on Windows) and both OBJ and STL exported and imported polypaint without problems.

For OBJ, make sure the program you are opening the file in supports ZBrush polypaint. The OBJ does not have vertex color/polypaint as standard and only a few programs can read the data.

For STL make sure you have Polypaint turned on in the 3DPrint Hub Export Options, and Skip Color turned off in the import Options.

If you’re still having problems I suggest you make sure you have the latest version by downloading and re-installing ZBrushCore from the My Licenses page.
