Zbrush4 r2 crash mac subtraction dynameshing

I have a lot of problems with crashes during subtraction.

I have been able to reproduce the crash multiple times by using any polymesh, leaving the mode on zADD, inserting a cylinder onto my object, then! switching the mode to zsub while still masking the cylinder, then adding another cylinder. When I control click and drag twice, I see a dynamesh progress bar and then CRASH!

Mac os x 10.7 macbook pro 6,2 geforce330m 256meg, 2.4ghz corei5 8 gigs of ram

I can repeat this crash by continuing to use the insert cylinder brush and alternating the zsub and zadd modes without dynameshing or clearing the mask first before adding a new cylinder.

I have added to one of my support tickets that I can reproduce this issue by opening up one of the default dynamesh 64 projects in lightbox. Choosing insert sphere brush and holding alt to draw the sphere and then finally alt stroke twice to clear the mask and trigger dynamesh to do its thing.

Instant crash every time. I have included the crash report and other info in my support ticket.

I have the same problem on my windows xp machine, but it crashed every time I try to subtract. I can add as much as I want, but anytime I try to subtract on any dynamesh, instant crash. I just get a memory error and that’s that.

Specs: Windows Xp, 3.25gb ram, Nvidia Geforce 9800 Gtx, Intel Core 2 Duo 3 Ghz.

I have had a similar problem as well. Sometimes I can get it to work, often it crashes. And if I try to dynamesh a ubtool- forget it. Crash every times

When I try to subract anything it crashes 100% of the time. I’ll try to post some screens later, but I’m using an old machine so I’m pretty sure the problem is on my end. I get a memory error and the program shuts down. I can add as much as I want, but if I try to subtract the program just crashes, no matter the density of the mesh.

For me dynameshing a subtool causes immediate repeatable crash :frowning:

hey any news on your ticket?
