ZBrush zooming locking problem

I’m playing with ZB Zspheres and for some reason when i get in close to make fingers - pressing alt to scroll /zoom in - it seems to suddenly pop back and then i can no longer zoom in close on the model any more .

I never have this problem usually and use ZB all the time.

It’s holding me an annoying distance away from the model - is really annoying.

Any ideas what i’m doing wrong would help a lot ! Hope someone can work out what the hell i’m talking about :slight_smile:

The only solution i can come up with is pressing control shift to isolate / going in and out of isolation mode seems to help but the problem keeps coming back …

I’ll take a stab at it, maybe I’m wrong but, just go to the Deformation window and click unify and then “F” on your keyboard, let me know if it works.

Hi - thanks for your tip. I’ve finished my basemesh with zspheres :slight_smile: so the problem is gone for the time being … I’ll keep this idea for when i return to using ZSpheres again - Thanks !!

I’m having the same issue, the viewport suddenly jumps/zooms out whenever I click on the ZSphere.

Somehow I’m unable to start a new thread so I just mention about it here, the problem is driving me crazy, unifying them won’t help. It keeps “zoom out” whenever I click on it :evil:

hi
go out of edit mode
clear the canvas and redraw the mesh in the canvas which will clear the problem

Hit these keys in this order right when it happens

a,a,f

a=preview +a=preview off+ f=center object

I’m having another problem with zooming issues today as I’m retopologising a mesh for animation - so i thought i’d just post it on here as it’s similar issue.

I can't get really nice and close in to areas like the nose and mouth . It's pretty irritating to be held back as it's hard to connect vertices and see where you are in the sculpt ... Have I simply reached ZBrush's extremities or is there a workaround ? Hope someone has some ideas I attach an image this is closest i can get. The problem is fine when dealing with just a face but when you have an entire body it doesn't seem to quite work.

(PS - just figured out that i can do a zoom - using the zoom option on the menu bar :slight_smile: sorry decreases resolution drastically but seems to work)
