ZBrush Workflow question

Hey there, first I want to say that I looked around for the answer of my question, but could find any answer for my question.

Im a experienced modeler and I have been modeling mainly using maya. On maya I usually model the body separated from the head. I think I get better results that way regarding topology.

How would it work in case I want sculpt details in the head, and body separate? is there any way I can attach them later on without losing the subdivisions?

also, the character Im working on is a roman soldier, which has armor. So how does it work regarding transpose? should I sculpt my character in T POSE? import the armor then use transpose to pose it? Since the armor is a different subtool, is there any way I can actually rotate the arm lets say and have the other subtool to also be affected? or should I pose it first, bring back to maya, do the armor as it fit then bring back to zbrush and add details to the armor…?

PS.: My goal is to have the character ready for animation.

Thank you
