Zbrush window opens up off to the side?

Hey Zbrush Support,

So when ever I click on my zbrush desktop icon the zbrush window comes up to the side of my cintiq. When I click to maximize the window to center it, the zbrush window pops over to one of my other monitors. Is there a way to have Zbrush always open up maximized and on the monitor of my choosing (my cintiq)? I know this is a small problem, but it is so annoying to have to re-position the window every time.

Thanks and I Love 4R3, It’s amazing!

Once you put the Zbrush window on the monitor and position you want just go to the Preferences->Config->Store Config

This will save your settings and next time you open Zbrush it will be where you want it.

By default, ZBrush always opens on the main display. If you want it to open maximized you will need to set your Cintiq as your main display.

If you don’t want to do that, you can get ZBrush close to maximized on it.

Click the Restore button in ZBrush’s title bar to resize the window. Use the title bar to drag it to the upper left corner of your Cintiq. DO NOT maximize it. Instead, use the sides and lower right corner of the window to drag it out so that it’s as close to maximized as you can get. Now use Ctrl+Shift+I (or Cmd+Shift+I) to store your configuration. ZBrush will remember this position and will always open there.

The reason you don’t want to maximize after getting it on the Cintiq side is because that simply tells ZBrush to open maximized – nothing about position. Which in turn means it will open on the main display.

Thanks a lot, that works perfectly.
