Zbrush weird crash

I downloaded the trail version of Zbrush today and it gives me a weird crash at the startup.

When I start Zbrush I hear this windows error noise and then nothing happens.
But when I press alt (for some reason) a little window appears which says:

unable to open file c:/program files/pixologic/zbrus and then it ends, the window is to small to show me the exact file that zbrush is unable to open.

I press “ok” and zbrush starts but it wont let me import an obj mesh or pictures or whatever.

I’ve tried almost every solution I could find on crashes on this site but nothing seems to work.

I’m thinking this is because of the error and not the limitations on the trial version?

If somebody knows a way for me to fix this, it will make me a very happy bunny :slight_smile:

What are your system specs? What OS are you running? Were there any problems with the installation itself?

Is ZBrush found in the Program Files>Add/Remove Programs list? If so, try double-clicking on it there and choosing the Repair option.

I’m currently running windows xp on a pretty crappy) laptop.

2.0 Ghz
512 mb DDR2
ATI Radeon Xpress 1100

Zbrush should work fine, I’ve had it running on here before with no problems.
The installation also went without a problem.

I’ve tried doing the repair but it still gives me the same error :cry:
