I tried texture painting for the first time in Zbrush today - awesome. However, I had a problem transferring the textured model to 3DS Max. I didn’t unwrap the model in Max first (I know now that I should have…) but from what I’ve read, the UVs applied in Zbrush should transfer to Max. However they don’t - when I import the obj then apply the texture in Max it is mapped to the model randomly as if there were no set UVs (it’s not the map-needs-flipping issue, I know about that).
I’m pretty sure the import settings in Max are correct, I’ve checked them against those in tutorials, so I wonder if I missed something on the Zbrush end. Anyone have any idea what? I’ll be sure to unwrap the model in Max next time, but I’d like to rescue this texture work.
