ZBrush unresponsive when holding in the option key with a Wacom tablet.

Hi guys,

I’ve searched for an answer for this but I haven’t found one specific to my issue.

I just upgraded to Mac OS Lion and everything is great except for one issue…

When I try and scale in and out in ZBrush using the option key as soon as I hold that option key down and start to drag my pen back and forth ZBrush is unresponsive. It doesn’t freeze or anything it just doesn’t scale or move the view around. I have to try it several times before it’ll work.

Heres what I tried so far:

-Remapping the option key on my Wacom Intuos 4, no luck.
-It does it plugged in or wireless.
-No other program seems to have this issue.
-Its a brand new install of Lion with literally only ZBrush, Houdini, Maya, Unity, and Xcode loaded.
-The problem does not appear to happen when using the mouse and keyboard.

Is anyone else running into this? If so did you find a fix? I can’t find anything online of anyone else having this issue. I am on ZBrush 4R3.

My system specs are:
Mac Pro
Intel Xeon 3.33Ghz Hexcore processor
24 GB Ram
8TB hard drive space
ATI Radeon HD5870

Well after some more troubleshooting I found its not just ZBrush, Photoshop does it too. Its also with ANY modifier key, not just option.

If I use an express key on my Wacom (like command to create a mask) and generate a stroke with either the pen OR mouse, theres no response. I have to repeat the action a few times for it to work. The cursor will actually move, but the click isn’t registered.

If I hold that same key on the keyboard instead and repeats the movement with my wacom pen (or a mouse) then it works.

It seems to be an issue with the drivers for the express keys on the wacom (and yes I tried updating and downgrading drivers).

If I find a solution I’ll post it incase anyone else runs across this. If anyone has a solution please let me know
