ZBrush UI Colorize

Hello everyone. I’m trying to learn ZBrush from scratch on my own and so I went on the official website of Pixologic ZClassroom. In the video explains the majority of the program’s functions, but there are some that are better explained on the guide. There is one in particular that I can’t understand how to use it and is located in the Preferences menu> Interface> UI> Colorize. The description with the ctrl key is:
"The Colorize Floating Menus tab buttons changes the color of a block of ‘docked’ floating menu items. To change the color of a block of items, click on its colored tab and press this button. The color will change to Main active color. "
It could even be a useless function, but I would like to know what he means by block of ‘docked’ floating menu items and if maybe some of you know what it is. Thanks

Welcome to ZBC.

The “Floating Menus” are the blocks around the canvas viewport that have buttons and icons such as the color selector, large current material thumbnail and so on. You can show or hide them by pressing TAB. So they’re not floating menus in the generally understood sense. I think the Preferences>Interface>Colorize button is probably a legacy feature that no longer works (at least I couldn’t get it to do anything).

If you want to change the background color for the outside UI area then the Main & Main2 buttons at the top of Preferences>Icolors will do it.

“is probably a legacy feature that no longer works”
Yes I suspect it! And I think that should be removed with the next release. No one seem to use it.
Thank you Marcus
