Zbrush, topogun, maya workflow?

When I need to create clothing etc for my zbrush model I do so in topogun. Then I will send it back to zbrush to see how it looks, from there I goz it to maya to add thickness and slightly shape. My question is after gozing it back to zbrush I have to hit double in the display tab on the mesh in order to see it entirely and for some weird reason it won’t allow me to deform it? I’m still wet behind the ears regarding maya but any help would be appreciated.
