Zbrush to Maya

Please, I need a help!
I’ve modeled a head in z-brush, which I had started in Maya first. In Z-brush I painted the head with the polypaint. I need to import it to Maya. So I exported the head as .obj
It’s exported two files, one’s obj and the other .mtl
What I have to do to get the same painting I made in Zbrush to Maya? Please help me and give some methods, if there is a tutorial in some zbrush website, let me know please, ok? THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Richard

P.S. Here is the picture of the head I painted

If you want your polypainted head in Maya you’ll need to unwrap the Zbrush model and bake the polypaint info to a texture map, then apply the texture to the model in Maya.

It’s never a good idea to work with ultra-hi-res geo in Maya so you should use displacement maps and surface/subdiv approximation at render to mimic the level of detail you see in Zbrush.

The texture will only contain the polypaint color info, not the look of the shader as you see it in Zbrush. You’ll need to use a good shader in Maya that supports displacement.
