Zbrush to Maya, weird DISPLACEMENT issues

Hello :),
I’m having some odd displacement results, I almost have it working perfectly but I have some small issues I can’t seem to resolve.

First of all, this is how the shirt looks like in ZBrush:

And this is how the collar of the shirt looks like in ZBrush:

I've exported first subdivision level of the mesh from ZBrush to maya and made displacement maps.

This is how the shirt looks like in Maya with regular displacement settings (Feature displacement, no Approximation nodes), parameters are in the pic as well, overall it looks allright, though the displacements are kind of weak compared to the ZBrush version:

And this is how the collar looks like with the displacements in maya, it looks inflated a bit and weird, also nothing like the collar in ZBrush..
If I take the Alpha Gain down of course it looks better but then the displacements are not visible at all and if I take it up it looks even worse:

This is how the shirt looks like inside maya with the displacement and with a normal map, a hell lot better, however, the collar now looks terrible:

And the collar with the normal map:

And this is how the mesh looks like inside Maya with a Subdivisions Approximanion node, for some reason some parts are messed up, like the part marked in the image, it also happens in the backside of the arm:

So basically my questions are:
1. Why does the collar look so bad and how do I fix it?
2. Why does the Approximation node gives messed up results although it should give better ones?

Thanks a lot :+1:

How are you exporting your displacement map out of ZBrush? Need more info on what you’re currently doing both in ZB and Maya.

Also, the ZBC folks prefer you to attach your images rather than link to them.

I followed some famous tutorials of The Gnomon Workshop and did exactly what they explained…
I exported in the regular fashion… chose Adaptive, chose a resolution and hit export, the map comes out in 16 bit, I flip it, open it in photoshop and turn it into RGB.

I couldn’t figure out how to upload more than 1 image file to the forum + order the images correctly so I preferred to upload them somewhere else
