Zbrush to Maya Issues VIDEO INCLUDED

So I’ve been focusing on practicing my sculpting in Zbrush and keeping up with the new features as they come out.

The one problem I’ve had that I can’t figure out is how to get my normal maps looking good in Maya. Displacement maps have been a pain as well. I’ve watched a good amount of tutorials but still have difficulty.

I made a quick little asset to test all of this out, and recorded a video. Hopefully someone can help me out

You could try creating the normal map in Zbrush without flipping any of the channels.

GoZ to Maya everything should be set up automatically.

In Maya under Render Settings–>Options–>Performance turn on Maya Derivatives.

I hope that this works for you.

I’ve tried doing this with GoZ, but not the turn on Maya Derivatives. I’ll check that out. Any more advice is welcomed!

Tried turning on Maya Derivatives, and it did help but still doesn’t look very good :frowning:

Bump for suggestions please
