Zbrush to Maya for rendering - can someone please help?

Sooooooo, here’s my dilemma - I’m trying to bring my ZBrush creation into Maya 2009 so that I can utilize maya as my rendering engine, however I have no idea what to do. Sure I can export the model as an obj but then what? I’ve got it painted within zbrush/textured within zbrush as well. What do I do to get it into Maya from ZBrush, with the poly paint, textured, etc? Can someone lay out the steps for me so that I can do this? (it’s a valentine’s day “card” for my gf, who’s coming into town tomorrow night, so, trying to get this wrapped up before-hand)

Also I should note that the ztl is comprised of 6 subtools: 1 main body, jacket, belt, pants, rock to stand on, accessory.

Thanks in advance!

you need to find a tutorial on displacement or normal mapping, and saving out texture maps. this is far too large a question for someone to answer on here, but you can do some searches, check out some gnomonology videos, and its easy enough to figure out for yourself. good luck

Well that’s what I’m talking about - I get the textures and definition out through normal and disp maps? I get the painted “skins” out by making a texture map?
