Here’s something I am noticing lately and I was hoping someone can tell me how to defeat it.
I created some fairly low res geometry in maya, then ported it to zbrush with GoZ. When I create geo like this, I typically add edge loops to areas that curve so I get tight lines where the geo changes direction but the rest of the model is usually pretty sparse in terms of lines and verts.
In zbrush I divide up and do my detail work. When I generate my disp maps or normal maps I see that the tightly placed lines ;have actually moved aay from their tight edges and as a result the maps that get generated appear warped. When I port it all back to MAYA I find that warping does occur on the maps and now the geo detail doesn’t look so good. How can I fight this?
