zbrush to cinema 4d

I’m using zbrush 4r6 p2 and cinema 4d r15 studio. I’ve spent quite a bit of time sculpting, retopo, uving my model in hopes of moving it to cinema 4d to do the hair, texturing and rendering. I’ve tried the manual way of using the mme plugin to generate my 32 bit displacement map, exporting my obj and importing both into c4d. No matter how I set up the displacement channel in the material, it looks nothing like the sculpt.

So then I tried exporting with GoZ but it just brings in then obj with no displacement applied.

Does anyone know of an up to date tutorial that covers this workflow? Starting in zbrush, not c4d, and importing into c4d? Thanks!

I think I may have finally figured out my problem. I’m guessing that c4d doesn’t work with 32bit displacement images? When I turned that option off and reexported as a regular psd all of my detail now seems to be coming through correctly.
