Those box modelling features look great! Very handy to have them in ZB.
I almost hope though that keyshot is not the full version seeing that I bought it 3 weeks ago for 1k :))
Pleeeaaaazze, Pixo dudes, please put the videos online next week or so …
Living in Europe I can watch some of them but not all of them, so it would be great to be able to watch them later .
Thanks for the youtube upload! Couldn’t get to see live here in the UK. Excellent new features so far. Well done Pixologic and like everyone else, can’t wait to play.
I don’t know if anybody noticed, but when Joseph sent the grenade to Keyshot and turned on/off the textures/materials (about 39mins on youtube vid), in particular the Zbrush logos. The textures are on low poly geometry, but are hi-res when in Keyshot. Just a thought of what maybe coming! I might be wrong.
Thanks again Pix.
Did i hear “He is using the 64 bit version by the way”? Can someone confirm?
Yes, the beta version that is available for 4R7
Such a great update. I was expecting lowpoly/hardsurface tools but again Pixologic surpassed my expectations.
They keyshot integration will take Zbrush to another level when it comes to visualization.
Keyshot integration also brings a 3d camera - that was a feature that I had been waiting for: to be able to switch from zbrush´s 2.5d camera to the real thing - it just makes proportions so much better to read
Any mention of a release date?
It has been a great summit so far, thanks Pixologic! Livestreaming it to the world was a wonderful gesture, giving those of us who are just a bit too far away to commute to LA a chance to be a part of the event is much appreciated. You guys never cease to surprise and amaze and the sneak peak last night was no exception. I am looking forward to the rest of the summit. Just a 3 hour time difference here; I feel sorry for those of you half a world away. Nevertheless, its a small price to pay for living on the bleeding edge baby!
All the best to ZBrushers everywhere!

looks like it IS $350 with a $250 deal initially
Yes that’s for the Keyshot bridge and a special version of Keyshot, if I heard the man correctly.
He also mentioned that ZBrush materials will send with the geometry to Keyshot, compared to the beta GoZ plugin for Keyshot 4 which only allowed paint and textures to send with geometry.
What we have seen so far in 4.7 I think is very exciting. Easy poly selection, inset, extrude, bevel etc. looks like a delight to use.

It isn’t a big deal to catch up once someone records it for us. 7 hours time difference where I live but I was able to watch the demo this morning thanks to jubala who uploaded the video. Hopefully he or someone else will do the same today for their ZBrush pals on this side of the world.
The summit was just great i watched the first part even from here in Italy. Legacy guys also replied to my question. then i saw the demo video of the new feautures in the morning something like 3 times hahahah. also the part of the summit i didnn’t reach to watch remained visible on the page since i left pc in function and so i watched also elastic guys and their great works.
Hi Santis … correct me if I am wrong but this is how I understand it :
- ZB4R7 is 32 bits. It’s the last in the row of 4’s. It’s is not a Beta, but will be fully ready upon release.
- ZB5 is 64 bits. This is in Beta and will be released to everyone (not a select group of people) the same date as the ZB4R7 … Beta means of course there might still be plenty (or not so plenty) bugs in it. I find it great though, they will release it to everyone to play with. And if we find bugs, I am sure they’ll appreciate if we let them know
I suddenly got awake at 5AM, the time they dived into the demo. The sneak peak (peek?) has been awesome.
A small addition but one that will certainly be appreciated - I do anyway - is the fact that one can turn of the colours when viewing in polyframe mode (shift F). Wireframe is still visible. As far as I noticed it’s a tiny toggle on/off button within the wireframe icon/button.
I am very curious about the next sneak peek. I believe it will be 11PM over here … I can handle.
One more note before I get back to some Zbrushing … I love the UI as is.
Thanks so much Pixologic-team for this great tool. And Keyshot … you too!
Loved the new features Joseph demoed so far. But please, Paul Gaboury… calm down a bit and let Joseph do his thing, your enthusiasm was getting in the way a bit.
Thank you Vlad74 … honestly I had to read this a couple of times, before it was clear to me. You (and Santis - my apology) are right.
I have a bad excuse though, I don’t speak native English
Why do people also take about ZB5? Will have to re-watch the demo (thanks Jubala for putting it on Youtube).
Enjoy the next demo people!
It is not going to be ZBrush 5 Beta 64-bit. It will be a beta of the 64-bit conversion, using version 4R7.
My general reaction to the new lowpoly features in zbrush 4.7 http://24.media.tumblr.com/77d9d68b9dbb701f8697ebbc43ba5d4c/tumblr_n0einyOkz31r9a32bo2_400.gif
Well done pixologic, you never ceases to impress
Does someone knows when R7 will be out?
I love Paul’s energy. It’s that energy that makes ZBrush perhaps the most innovative piece of software on the market.
And, he doesn’t drink coffee (for obvious reasons) .
