i remember seeing this video of a guy sculpting the bandages in zbrush a long long time ago. I was wondering if anybody has the link to that one or can upload it? if anybody has anything similar please kindly leave the link here, thanks 
I don’t have the link, but can suggest you try using the Clay Tubes brush. I use it with LazyMouse turned on and with the focal shift set to positive 50.
