Zbrush Materials...

Hi,

I made a model in Zbrush, painted it using PolyPaint, and didn’t realize how the underlying material contributed to the final look - in a good way - in this case the basic red wax. Is there any way of transfering that ‘look’ or underlying color to the model when used in 3DS Max 2010? The colors, of course, change drastically when a grey material is applied.

Thanks for any help,

HL

i have the same exact question, and would love an answer

You might look at baking your material details to a texture. Here’s a video tutorial that shows one way to do so:

These tutorials are handy for making your own matte cap materials and applying them. The lighting will be baked into your model with these.
